I knew Turkey would be shit and they did not disappoint, Burak Yilmaz is our best Striker that should give you all an Idea that Turkey will be awful, no strikers a useless defence and a few cute midfielders do not make a good team.

Turkey as a country is falling to pieces under one crazed dictator and is not as one as a nation , it has become a divisive place and I am 100% that the players who are not good enough anyway were affected a bit by that too because the dictator has tainted everything even football.

Apparently turned into a big time Charlie after his Barca move so is an easy scapegoat when appearing to lack effort.

He did that when they booed him

Re: Spain v Turkey
Turan allegedly sarcastically raised his thumb to the Turkish fans, they didn't like him much after that.

Re: Spain v Turkey
Think Turan had played shit in the other game and said he'd put more effort in and gee em all up, but didn't. Was just strolling about.

Re: Spain v Turkey
They started booing him after about an hour
Not sure if they were bored, realised he was playing then or were looking for a scapegoat

Another game where its hard to gauge what Spain have.

Turkey's effort was a disgrace really, turned up expecting to lose and just saving themselves for the last game.

Spain will definitely be fucked once the legends retire though.

Turan must've played shit before I tuned in.

Or were the Turks booing him as a substitute for the manager?

Easy peasy.

Re: Spain v Turkey
It's an easy choice
One has a World Cup winning goal
Iniesta can play without Messi. Messi never quite the same without Iniesta.

Very comfortable for Spain. Not really out of second gear

Re: Spain v Turkey
Iniesta has been a fantastic player for Barca and Spain. If someone said to me you could have either Iniesta or Messi in your team but not both then the Spaniard would be my choice.

To shine in the Turkish league dosen't look that hard.

Re: Spain v Turkey
Listening to Bilic at half time, articulately (in a second of many languages) and insightfully unpick the game is streets ahead of Pulis as co-commentator. His knowledge of world football is incredible too.

Yet in the stands, we have Pulis referring to "The Lad" for most names- as he hasn't got a fucking clue who they are- and mocking the quality of corners throughout the tournament, minutes into the game. Textbook Pulis.

The bit for me, which reminded me of another manager to whom we're familiar with, was after the second goal went in. He said, in pretty much these words, "Turkey should've tightened up after the first goal and seen it through to half time before addressing matters." I understand the sentiment, but it speaks volumes regarding his approach and Slaven's.

In my opinion, we are very lucky to have our manager.
